Turn check because...? What do you do when Q, K, A, or a heart fall on the river?

His most likely hand is probably AhX or KhX, so I don't exactly like giving a free card here.

12 or so on the turn sound good?

I like it. Was the turn check for pot control?

Bet that turn. You don't want to give free cards on this flop. If he checkraises it will be an easy fold, and you may be able to cheaply show down a winning hand that you would have been bluffed off of had you checked behind.

Well you don't exactly know what a good card is here. He has 18 scare cards that are going to put you in a tough spot on the river, when he could be holding as few as 3 outs (but probably either 5-6 or 12). You've got position on him, so normally you'll get it checked to you on the river if you bet the turn, which accomplishes the same thing as checking the turn and calling a blank river... except now you don't have to worry about those 18 scare cards, just his real outs.

your gonna have to explain pot control to me, im unfamiliar with what you mean by that

i think why i checked that turn is because i didnt want to face a check raise but that does make sense in betting turn to check the river thru

I like it, bet more on flop though, like $7. You got to showdown cheaply and you managed to extract an extra bet on the river from villains likely worse hand.

Bet turn. Your hand needs protection. He's not C/R you with a worse hand
