Satellites For Smaller WSOP Events?
All,
I am taking a trip out to Vegas in July to play in some of the lower buy-in WSOP events (unfortunately, I have professional obligations that make playing in the main event impossible). My plan is to play at least 2-3 of the smaller tournaments. Do any poker sites spread satellite events for these tournaments, or is the entire focus on the main event? I realize that there are plenty of satellites available in Vegas, but I'd just as soon qualify before I get there. Thanks. |

Re: Satellites For Smaller WSOP Events?
Full Tilt has "The Race for Bracelets" tournaments which award $2000 WSOP packages ($1500 in World Series Tournament Chips & $500 in Cash.) The $1500 tournament chips can be used towards buying into any WSOP event.
The tournies run on Full Tilt daily at 9pm w $26 and $75 buy-ins. Link with all the details ... Full Tilt Poker: The Race for Bracelets |

Re: Satellites For Smaller WSOP Events?
Last month (April), WPEX said that they are going to have satellites for Omaha and Stud events in May.
It is now May 15, and they are still listing their Hold Em events for April. |

I don't know how to link a thread, but look on the 1st or 2nd page and find mikehavens (green letters) thread on sending someone from the Zoo to a $1500 buyin event.

Re: Satellites For Smaller WSOP Events?
For info, just got an e-mail from Virgin that might be of interest to some of the SNG players:
[ QUOTE ] A WSOP package will go to the top 2 players who can win the most STT's between Friday 12th May & Friday 9th June - this will be based upon a points system. For winning a heads-up STT, players receive 1 point. Victory in a 5 man STT wins 3 points, and 10 man STT glory will yield 5 points. The only premise is that the STT has a minimum buy-in of $10. Whoever has the most points at the end of May wins the WSOP packages, simple as that. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Satellites For Smaller WSOP Events?
Check out Bodog. They are running 2 satellittes every weeknight for any $1500 buy in event, They also give you $1000 cash. It's a $50 + $4 winner take all tourney and I have seen several of these go off with 36-45 players so there is a bit of an overlay. I actually won one last week :-). Good Luck.
