Re: $60 looking at two all-ins with 99
i played with money at the 27s and he like 10 tables and he was the most ABC pushbotter player I've encountered.

Re: $60 looking at two all-ins with 99
i'd toss this. i think you're only marginally ahead of the first pusher, and even if the second guy is loose, he's going to have a big pair a lot. and you're getting almost no overlay from the blinds b/c you're the small and there are no antes. TT i'd probably play though.

Re: $60 looking at two all-ins with 99
I'm in the fold camp as well. Money is pretty decent and I would put his range along the 88, AQ lines. The big stack I'm sure youre beating him, but he's just choked any thought of me calling.

Re: $60 looking at two all-ins with 99
I don't like overcalling except in extreme emergency situations, with anything.
Against KJ and QJ here, you only wiht 40% of the time. Against KJ and QT, you only with 30% of the time. Against AJ and TT, you with 18% of the time. You get the picture...against two random hands, you aren't even favored unless they have the same hand, lower pairs, or all cards lower than 9 (I think that's unlikely). The PRO argument is 'if you win, you triple up' and that'd be good. The Con argument is 'overcalling reduces your chances of actually winning the pot dramatically' If this is where you have to gamble, then it is. You have to decide that. |

Ugh, I misread this.
It's actually very close. (Sorry I thought Hero had 1200 chips). Ryan |

This is a situation, where being aware of when the blinds go up is very important.

results.
this was obviously very close, and i don't think one could be faulted for calling or folding. i actually called in the hand. utg flipped AJo over, UTG+1 had AJs, and my hand held.
i'm curious why some people muck this but "definitely" play TT. is the difference that huge? also, how does the timing of the blind increase affect this hand? i'm guessing that if it's sooner we are more inclined to call? |

also, how does the timing of the blind increase affect this hand? i'm guessing that if it's sooner we are more inclined to call? [/ QUOTE ] this is true. i always look at how soon the blinds are increasing everytime i think about getting involved into hands or if im getting short stacked, this is crucial when you play the speeds/turbos. make it a habit. |
