Re: AQ w/ A-flop vs potbet from pf-raiser
The depends on how much villian adjusts his raises for position. If he does adjust his raises for position... than you should have folded pre-flop, or reraised. AQo is a TP type hand, one you do not want to be playing multiway here. Here, with position and accounting for positions (both his and yours), I would say reraising>folding>calling, since you need to both thin the field and define villians hand, neither of which calling does, while folding prevents you from playing a potentially very costly AQ vs AK hand. In this regard, his range is just big enough to potentially make AQ the best hand here and thus worth the reraise.
As played however, you really only beat AT/KK/QQ here. But you haven't defined what he has. Because the A fell and he bet into a 5-way pot, I am guessing he has at least TPTK. I can find a fold here. |

I figured I had position on him. But often I call this OOP too. Which is probably very bad.

Re: AQ w/ A-flop vs potbet from pf-raiser
Situations like this are the reason that this is a fold preflop. What seals the deal for me is that the typical patsy hand to yours (AJ) is also ahead of you on this flop.

Re: AQ w/ A-flop vs potbet from pf-raiser
How often does this guy cbet? I have very similar stats and could easily have TT here or worse depending on the table. I would probably rereaise preflop or fold.
