Re: Back pain... need a good chair
The popular ones are the Herman Miller Aeron and the Humanscale Freedom. There are many others as well. I think you really have to try them out though, and then buy online. I got a Steelcase Leap and I think it's much better than any of the others for me. You just have to try them out and see what works.

Re: Back pain... need a good chair
There might be something wrong with me, but I really enjoy playing online in my favourite recliner with laptop on my lap.
I believe, recliners are also ergonomic, not sure though. |

Re: Back pain... need a good chair
I have an Aeron,it's great, if you Ebay you can get them for less than they normally cost. Get the lumbar support. Don't get leather armrests though.(My opinion)

Re: Back pain... need a good chair
Get out your local yellow pages and look up "office furniture-Used". Then go down to their warehouse (which will be in the neighborhood with the highest murder rate) and try out their selection of chairs. The used office furniture market is swimming in used stuff and you can get a good deal. I am a commercial real estate broker and most of my clients are smaller companies. When they lease new office space and need furniture I always direct them to the used office furniture dealers and they get some great deals.

Re: Back pain... need a good chair
In the Party VIP survey they had a question about items for the store - I recommended a nice office chair.
So keep an eye out in the store for a "paddeed" metal folding chair. |
