Default Re: AQ - a different line

I feel that you played this hand wrong on every street. Any option would've worked on the flop. I probably like your lead out here worst of them however. Your play gets consistently worse as you go through the hand. On the turn a check call is a horrible play, because it does not allow you to define you opponents hand in any way. Either lead again at this point and see what your opponent does, or check raise. If you lead you could lay your hand down if you opponent reraises for 150+. If you check raise and are pushed all-in then you really need to rely on your read of the other player at this point. A check call, and another check on the river showed your opponent nothing but weakness. Alot of players see this as opening to take this pot from you. If he made that large shove on the river quickly, I could almost guarantee you that you had best hand. But you are really left 50-50 guessing by the way you allowed the rest of this hand to play out. Flipping a coin and guessing does not make for a profitable way to gamble!
