Table Talk

When playing live poker, cash or tournament i repeatedly find i'm in a situation where i can get or give away a lot of information by talking to my oppenent. Negreanu uses table talk to get information. Jamie Gold used table talk to in the 2006WSOP to talk a lot of people into paying him off. My question is what is the most effective way to talk your oppenent into calling/folding and what are some good responses to questions? What are good questions to ask? Obviously keeping silent is an option but lets assume you have to talk, what do you say?
