Party 215 common enough preflop spot
Posting this here because I'm an MTT donk and my question is too simple to get replies in the high stakes forum.
Early in the Party $200 300k guaranteed. Blinds 30/60. 5k stacks. Villain is in the bb, playing 28/20 so far. Last orbit I opened the CO with AJs and I folded to his 3-bet from the big blind. Very next orbit... Folded to me in the CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I raise to 180. Folds to Villain who 3-bets from the BB to 660. I 4-bet to 1700. Am I correct in thinking that my raise was the worst play possible? Fold>>Call>>>>>Raise? Basically what I'm trying to get at is, when in position, is the best way to handle habitual 3-bettors to call more or 4-bet more? I know it's opponent dependent and all, but it's hard to approximate a 3-bet/call 4-bet or 3-bet/5-bet allin frequency for a pretty much unknown. |
