I agree. Maybe they should be seeded off the best overall poll. Like out of the people that qualify the highest ranked plays the lowest ranked, second highest plays second lowest, etc in the next round. So if you run into tough competition it's your own fault. This would mean it wouldn't be anonymous though but prevents the lottery of pairings at random.

this sounds good. the anonymous thing is sort of silly imo i can pretty much tell whose are whos for 70% of them anyway. and its more fun if you can be like oh pennpal urs was so funny or limesparks urs was even better than pennpals or w/e
