I'm getting the same way about books like LGB for NLHE and West's 7Stud book.

I don't understand what you mean when you say you're "getting the same way."

Are LGB & the Stud book like SSH, in that you can go straight to it, or are they like WITHG in that there are books you should read first?

Yeah sorry, I was a little unclear - what I meant was that LGB and West are examples of very good beginner books for their games, but they can be skipped over in favor of more advanced material.

SSHE, 7CSFAP, and Harrington, anyone with a little poker experience can read them with a little effort and absorb the material. It may not go down as easy as a total beginner book does, but a reasonably intelligent person won't have a problem.

Contrast that to something like WITHG, where I think it will just confuse someone who doesn't have a grasp on the fundamentals. I have a lot more work to do on it after reading it once, I mean a LOT more work, and I've been through a lot of LHE books, DVDs, training sites and so on.
