Default HU theory

before i begin, let me say that i am far from a heads up expert...i'm competent at best.

many people here recommend that you raise in position or fold...seldomly should one limp when playing heads up. now, given that chances that you will miss the flop are higher than you hitting flop, how do you reconcile the notion of, say, cbetting 80% of the time. especially if your opponent raises your cbet everytime, whether or not he has anything?

one may assume that you should start cbetting less and only continuation bet if you hit. well...this is VERY easy to notice, ESPECIALLY if you're playing raise/fold on the button.
