I'm still playing in the micros (max $20nl), so keep this in mind before relying too heavily on my advice. I'm also currently playing on one of CP's skins, Sportsbook.

If I had $10k and the skills for $800NL, I would go bonus-whoring at Cake Poker first. They have a 100% up to $500 initial deposit bonus that you should be able to clear well within the first two months (although you get 3 months to do it). If you don't like the site after you've cleared the bonus, you can just move over to PStars.

General Info: The latest software update has greatly improved the client-side interface. You will still see a bit of server-side freezes, but I've never been disconnected because of them.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Poker Tracker and PA HUD will not work with CP. The CP hand histories just lack too much information to be compatible with it. Since this is actually one of CP's bullet-points in their advertising, the chance of this changing in the future is almost nil.
