Or did someone tell you it's a resource hog on some chat board somewhere? You're probably better off just using iTunes and exiting out of it when you aren't syncing up stuff with the Touch. You'd hate to have Apple change something on the Touch to lock it down more with iTunes and have to import your stuff into iTunes.
