Re: 400NL - flopped set facing scary action on the turn.
Just a thought but can we help avoid these tough decisions by making a bigger flop raise. Then there is more in the pot & less behind to make calling a Turn push an easier decision.
Calling the flops make the pot 56+40+40 = $136. You raised to 128 which is 128-40 = $88 raise into a $136 pot. If instead you made a full raise (136+40) = 176 to go, on the Turn the pot would be 56+176+176 = $408 with only ~$260 behind and an easier call. I dont have time to check my math but I think the concept is sound. |
