Default playing marginal hands in position

Anyone have any thoughts on playing marginal hands in position? E.g. calling with QJo OTB from a MP raise? Would you rather fold here PF because these hands can rarely withstand a lot of heat, or do you call knowing that you have to tread carefully? I guess my question is - whats the most +EV way to play marginal hands IP against a raise?
