Default Re: Do you have to be a Crazy gambler To be a winning player ??

This is an interesting subject.
To be a winning player you do not have to be a “crazy gambler”, in fact a crazy gambler will go broke some high Percentage of time or eventually but no actual data to quantify this except for understanding Kelley.

(Now assuming a competent player with an edge)
The people that are more risk tolerant have a higher probability of increasing a role at a quicker pace, but also have the highest chance of going busto.

The people that are most risk adverse, will grow their BR at a slower steady pace, but will virtually be between 0-5% of ever going busto.

I fall in the most risk adverse categories. Having slowly built a nut that many people in this world would kill for, feel if I had more gamble, would have succeeded at a much higher pace and been even in a greater position.

Normal people close to me (unlike us who play with an edge) view me as someone who gambles, not realizing that playing with an edge, is not gambling, or that it is even possible.
