Why is Paul Running as a Republican?

He'll go into the convention trailing Rudy in delegates, but Romney and Thompson quite a bit behind. I think if this happens Paul would get the nomination.

Because Paul winning Iowa, New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, Massachusetts, California, Florida and numerous other states is close to impossible.
