Ok so august 24th i got pulled over and the cop wrote me up for window tints and said "I'm not giving you a citation this is a fix it ticket, just get the tints removed in 15 days" So 2 days later i go at my car with a hair drier and peel them off. now today i get a letter saying i owe the state $140 because i never got my window tints removed. apparently within these 15 days i was supposed to go to the station and show them my window tintless car. it says nothing about this on the ticket and the cop never mentioned it.

what can i do?
