Getting max value - what to bet with big hands
These are two hands where in each I'm wondering if I bet too much and lost a bunch of possible value because of it.
HAND #1 Villain is 46/17/5 after 150 hands. Is it standard to check behind on the Turn here? Party Poker - NL200 Stack sizes: UTG: $320.30 Hero: $334.27 Button: $212.70 SB: $228.35 BB: $226.45 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG raises to $6, Hero raises to $19, 3 folds, UTG calls. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($113, 2 players) UTG checks, Hero bets $70, UTG folds. HAND # 2 UTG villain is 47/7/1.2 after 150 hands. I realize I should've raised more on the flop here. And I was really thinking the Ace might call me with the River shove. He's so passive I'm reluctant to check ...but do I bet the pot?
