Whilst Im not giving my money away on the poker tables in real life I like to think of hands.

In this situation what would you do.

Its you and another person on the table, the pot is $1.000.000 (one million). you have $416k in your stack and so does the other guy. you have no other money in your poket at all, This is all the money you have, if you lose it you will be walking back to were ever you live in the world.

Right your hold cards, 5-H-6-H
The other guy raised it but you bought in any way, every body else folded, the pot is 300k.
The flop comes down and its 7h8h9H, you have floped a straight flush, you bet 350k and he calls it, the turn is nothing say a four of clubs, he checks you check, the river card comes down and its the, well says its the king of hearts, you look up with that massive pot and you try to messure the man, he is tricky you cant figure out any thing what he is up to, he checks it..

Would you put the rest of your money in there , he might have an ace or a (higher straight flush) but why would any body check the nuts, maybe he is checking the nuts because he wants you to bet, he knows your agressive.

The odds of him having the ten and jack of hearts are about as remote as you having the 5h-6h but you got them, you called a raise with them and hit, he is in a bad situation and you suspect he has nothing but maybe he has those cards which could crush your world. Would you play safe and check it so you see the pot safely or would you make the extra few hundred thou, if you commit half of your remaining stack he might go ahead and put you all in.

Remember no bus fare home, you will be in serious trouble if you lose all of your stack. What kind of player are you.
