About half an hour into my session.
LP Raiser loves to raise. Makes it $12 to go often. I'm in the Small Blind. Effective stacks are about $150. A couple limpers, LP guy makes it $15, I look down and see 55 and call. No other callers. Flop comes 953 all spades. I bet $35 into him... My hope was that he would have an overpair this time and want to get my obvious flush draw out of it. Or, maybe he would have the Ace of spades and raise/push for the race. Much to my dismay he thinks about it and Flat Calls. Turn is the J of spades (I think it was the J, either way it was a 4th spade). I look at him and say "you got lucky on the turn, hopefully I'll get lucky on the river" and Push out a stack of $100 which should put him all in or pretty darn close to it. Good? Bad? With the 4th spade should I put him on either the A or K and just check/fold? I figured that my only two plays were check/fold or push. I can't bet/fold because there would be too much in the pot and I'd have to call. |
