When I first got interested in poker around three years ago, there were about a dozen rooms on the Strip, 8 or so off-Strip. Roughly 20 city-wide.
There are now 24 on the Strip alone (if you count places like O'Sheas and Trop, which have a few tables, but no room, as such.) Think the poker boom has led to enough growth in the player base to warrant a few more rooms, but not as many as are currently open. Certainly feel badly for the employees when a room closes, but think it's inevitable. |
