Just opened up a few tables and started playing...
PokerStars Game #12305483520: Hold'em No Limit ($5/$10) - 2007/09/27 - 18:24:54 (ET) Table 'Pallas II' 6-max Seat #4 is the button Seat 1: happymann ($1875.35 in chips) Seat 3: kiehndk ($1713 in chips) Seat 4: Bill Ivey ($1000 in chips) Seat 5: EmpireMaker2 ($1312 in chips) Seat 6: Leatherass9 ($1119 in chips) EmpireMaker2: posts small blind $5 Leatherass9: posts big blind $10 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Bill Ivey [9s 9h] happymann: folds kiehndk: folds Bill Ivey: raises $25 to $35 EmpireMaker2: raises $75 to $110 Leatherass9: folds Bill Ivey: calls $75 *** FLOP *** [Ad 2d Kh] EmpireMaker2: bets $166 Bill Ivey: calls $166 *** TURN *** [Ad 2d Kh] [Ts] EmpireMaker2: checks Bill Ivey: checks *** RIVER *** [Ad 2d Kh Ts] [2s] EmpireMaker2: bets $490 Bill Ivey: folds ---- I think EM2 views me as a tight/weak opponent, so I decide to float because a) I know he is capable of raising a wide range, b) He will probably bet this flop 100% of the time regardless of his hand, and c) I will use my tight image to represent AQ+ on this scary flop by flat calling, and d) I sensed weakness when he bet the flop. On the turn is where I think I made a mistake. I decided to check behind, because if I had AQ I would check behind. If I sensed weakness, I supposed I should have bet the turn. If I bet the turn and get called, then I would have to shove most rivers right? On the river his bet commits over half his stack... |
