Default Hillary\'s Social Security Lies in tonites debate

She claims that "there was a plan when Billary left office, so that with a balanced budget, social security was solvent until 2055".

First, a "balanced budget" has nothing to do with Social Security. Second, the inermediate projection in the 2001 report, reflecting all of Clinton's policies, showed insolvency in 2037, Russert was a year off. the intermediate assumptions now show insolvency in 2041.

The optimistic projection showed no insolvency in 2001 and still shows no insolvency.

Then she comes back to it with more nonsense about "budget deficits" hurting the Social Security, when they have zero to do with it, and the status of the Trust Fund has improved despite the lack of a balanced budget.
