[ QUOTE ]
So I wake up this morning and hear on Canal 9 news here in Argentina ( A big major television channel here but I take all journalism here with a big lump of salt) that there might be a Ronaldinho to Chelsea move. They didn't give a transfer amount but they gave the value of his suspected contract to be 5 years and 72 million euros. This doesn't make sense to me as CL already started and (I think) he started for Barca making him ineligible but I just thought I would share this very startling rumor I heard. Anyone else hear anything like this? Other sources? [/ QUOTE ] That's strange. The story is on goal.com also. But I thought the story was old. Sometime in late August, rumors were swirling that Chelsea talked to Ronaldinho's agent and were preparing to pay huge amounts of money for him. When Jose left, the pundits were even pointing to the whole Ronaldinho incident as proof that Jose's power was being usurped because apparently, Jose didn't want him. Anyway, by the end of August, both Chelsea and Barcelona denied the rumors and everyone thought the matter was settled. I have no idea why the rumors are coming again, although his "injury" may have something to do with it. (This article says Roman wants Ronaldinho AND Kaka: http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=58055 ) Also, Ronaldinho did play in the first CL game. |
