Well, that isn't exactly true. It's possible to bet your board as a bluff versus an opponent you are certain has you beat, but the opponent has to be capable of folding, say TTT, because he knows you'd never bet your board. But generally betting your board is really, really, bad. Often, check-folding is best. The slightly trickier spot is when you actually are full with trips on board.
