Default AK vs set . Is Stacks size could make me play differently ?

HI Guys ,

Here's a 0.25/0.5$ Hand. I have 28$ and vilain had covered me (50$).

Vilain opened UTG to 2$. From what I have seen, his range here is (55-AA, AK and probably AQs).

I called with AKs (STP seems to be good with my stack/raise).

Flop comes Ah Jh 3d , he bet 2$, I raised to 5.5$. he called.

Turn, 8c. He checked, I bet 10$ in a 15$ pot. I had 10$ left and he moved all in. I had an obv call and lost to a set of J !

Here are my questions from a stack size point of view .

> Do you think with my stack size I had to check this turn ? As a flush draw should not be (frequently) in his range. And called a relative not too high bet on the end ?

> If I had a full or deep stack, should I have check as above , or bet/fold to an all in move ?

Thx
