Default When a calling station goes all-in on the river.

Villian is a typical calling station, his stats is (70/2/0.3 – great stats! ). He is rather aggressive on the river though, as many fish are - totally passive elsewhere, all of a sudden aggressive on the river, especially on scarecards.

How should I play this hand? I’m am loose on the button (as you can see). This earns me money in the long run. Of course I would not valuebet my ace with 6 kicker against many players, but in this case where he plays 7 out of 10 hands and calls a lot, I am ahead of his range.

The 8 comes on the river and he is directly all-in. This would of course be impossible to call against tighter players, who are not as aggressive on the river. I choose to fold it because the weakness of my hand. But you could definetly argument for calling this kind of player. I hate these float flop –float turn -all-in on river situations.

How would you determine when and how much to call this kind of bet with a less than premium hand? Actually this guy has infinite AF on the river, but only over 70 hands, so it does not say a lot. But there are many fish who gets very very aggressive all of a sudden on the river, and sometimes you just have to call them down, with less than premium hands. I would say the most important factor is how often do they do this? Next of course is the strength of your hand. Next – which cards are they bluffing on. They usually love to bluff on aces and flush cards. (here you can sometimes successfully make a blockingbet if you are oop).
