Ok, srs bidness.
I'm planning on going back to school in the fall of next year. I know all of the arguments about not going back to school, but I've thought about this a lot, and I basically don't know anything that I would need in order to accomplish what I'm wanting to do right now and I feel this is the best way to learn that and make connections. However, this still means I have from now until next August-ish to fill. I'd like to make some money b/c I'm dropping towards brokedom, but I'd also like to do something where I can get good recommendations. Of course, these recommendations are only going to be good if they know I'm planning to leave in a year, not if I tell them I'm going to start working for them, and then tell them a few months later that I'd like some LORs so I can leave. I am doing a little work with some companies I had contact with before on some software/mini-consulting things, but there isn't enough money here for me to pull that off for a year. So, I'm trying to juggle the wants of having a job that pays at least decently, can give a good recommendation, and will know and understand that I plan on leaving shortly. Ideas? |
