Default 29 year old guy: never been in relationship

Here's a scenario; I'd just like some feedback and opinions on it. This is a close relative of mine.

29 years old, never had a real relationship. Is there anything wrong with that? It is definetly unusual, but is that something to be concerned about? Or just a part of variance where some guys are sometimes not gonna find a match of liking someone enough who likes them for an extended period of time?

Here is some personal background on the guy:
-had his first GF when he was 14 for a few weeks with a girl who was considered hot for that age
-never a GF after that
-has had sex (counting intercourse, oral) with between 10 and 15 girls, but most have been one night stands from bars, or one time encounters at the bar for a couple of those.
-fairly average looking guy
-Canadian born, educated, middle class
-has been pursued by mediocre girls, but never the really hot ones he's into
