Adopted second cousin, yay or nay?

Also, like a lot of responses here, it is going to depend on the family, adopted or not really shouldn't matter(much anyway) if you see her at family functions regularly, probably a little weird, if not, she is no different than the neighbor to your family member where the family party was.
