Dealing with flop donkers
By flop donker, I mean a player who bets most flops, OOP, without initiative. For example:
You open raise with: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and only the BB calls (as he always does). The flop comes: Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and the BB comes out betting (as he does most of the time). Options: 1. Fold: Given this player's tendencies, this seems too weak. 2. Call: Reasonable, but it will induce a turn donk as well. What is the plan for the turn? 3. Raise: Reasonable, to get to showdown cheaper...but it has spewing traits. How do you guys handle this type of player? |
