to chop or not to chop
my first real post so may make some mistakes
ok so im playing in a freeroll tourney with a first place getting 6000, 2. 3000, 3.2000, 4. 1400, 5 1200, 6 1000 7. 900 8. 800, 9. 700, 10. 600, 11. 550, 12. 500, 13, 450 14 is 400 i may be off by 50 here or therso there are 14 of us left i am third in chips with 12k the chip leader has 13.5k and 2nd has 13 4th place has about 10k everyone else in the field has between 5k the short stack and 8k blinds are 400- 800 with a 75 ante and are going up every 20 min with the next level in ten min being 500-1000 with a 100 ante i think the field really seemed happy to just be making some money because it was a freeroll and kept asking to chop it once we got to two tables with 14 i thought about saying no or saying give me and the other two chip leaders 2000 but instead we decided to all chop and everyone got $1350 i was going to say no but figured if i lost one hand i would also be one of the shorter stacks so decided to take the deal because 1350 was about 4th place money and with the blinds getting so high the tourney was going to start being all ins and coin flips so was wondering what people thought of the deal or if i am a wimp and should have just held out until some short stacks were out or if it was the right move with the blinds so high any advice will be much appreciated thanks |
