You can probably call there too. It depends on his bet size. If he bets again on the turn I wouldn't change his range much from the flop.

If he checks the turn you can probably check with intention of calling unless you have a read that he is passive and will not raise without a better hand AND will not bet big on the river without one. In that case you can make a half to 3/4 size bet and probably check behind on the river.
