Last stages of tournament play

ok, I'd love to start a dsicussion about the later stages of tournament play because that's what I'm struggling with the most atm

when we're getting near the end and I have a decent stack (average or better) I get aggressive with it bc I have my eyes on the main prize, stealing and restealing, however I always get burnt

so I'm thinking maybe I need to sit back more and just grind it out, playing more of the nitty TAG style I play early on

basically, what I'm looking for is how you guys adjust your play when you get to the last 2/3/4 tables with a decent stack (playing the short stack is pretty straightforward)
