Yankees Joba Rules

Does anyone else think that these "Joba" rules are a little outrageous? For every one inning he pitches (granted he is a reliever this year), he has to sit out that many days before his next appearance...I understand they are thinking long term for him and don't want to risk any injuries this season, but they are making a playoff push and I think they could use more of him in relief. what do you think?
