The subject line is ambiguous, and judging by the responses I think a lot of people are interpreting it as I did, in which "single" means "not dating anyone but their hand" and then citing some personal issues/deformities as the reason(s) why.

I didnt. Single = having no ties to one particular girl, if you consider "dating" single, than Im not single, but thats a dumb definition imo.
