playing live loose game not the biggest fishtank table in the casino but bad nevertheless
kill pot (16/32 blinds now for those who don't know), killer has the button. UTG limps, EP raises, MP calls, I call from the big blind with 88, UTG calls. FLOP: K J 8 rainbow checks to pf raiser who bets, MP folds, I raise, UTG 3bets, pf raiser thinks for 2 min before folding, I call. Turn: A I check (planning to c/r), UTG checks. River: J I bet, UTG folds .. I definitely considered leading out on the flop which looking back looks like the best way to get max $$ in the pot, but after i c/r'ed and got 3bet by UTG, my thought process was that there is no way in hell he's going to be checking the turn after showing so much strength on the flop. I took the criminal risk of checking the turn but I honestly felt that 90% of the time there would be a bet on the turn.. all comments on postflop play are welcome given that you supply something in the excess of a one line response. |
