right now I think public action is still warranted , but I think we need to be ready for the every man for himself keep your mouth shut don't trust anybody phase. I mean, the fbi/cia has announced they are building a stasi type network of over 200,000 paid informants to keep track of possible terror/crime right here in the good old usa. which btw if they've announced it means that it has been running for some time now.

otoh, if you shut up now it all but guarantees that people will start getting "disappeared" like in some 3rd world country. I mean a lot of people, not the very small number of muslims and others that are being secretly "rendered" to other countries for torture.

yeah it's pretty bad when you have to qualify poeple being "disappeared"
