flatcalling the flop with a huge draw - thoughts?
villian in this heads up match is beeschnuts, he's a i think a somewhat mediocre regular who multitables HU i think. i've seen him alone on FR tables looking for heads up matches but i've never seen him play 6-max. i decided to play him heads up because why not and so far in this match, i've been pounding on him. my read on him is that he plays a pretty standard, not too aggressive but not too passive style, doesn't 3-bet much but does enough that he remains deceptive. basically nothing special. significant hands thus far:

POKERSTARS GAME #123456789: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($3/$6) - 2007/08/24 - 12:23:53 (ET) Table 'Isberga' 2-max Seat #1 is the button Seat 1: ipokeder ($1179.75 in chips) Seat 2: beeschnuts ($649 in chips) ipokeder: posts small blind $3 beeschnuts: posts big blind $6 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to ipokeder [Ac Tc] ipokeder: raises $12 to $18 beeschnuts: raises $42 to $60 ipokeder: calls $42 *** FLOP *** [2s 5c 4c] beeschnuts: bets $96 ipokeder: it's an unorthodox play but i think it might be pretty cool - what do you guys think of flat calling this flop? i think if i flatcall this flop then i'm shoving a lot of turns (J, 6, 9, K, stuff like that), flatting if my draw hits and flatting if i spike a T or an A. i'm going to fold on pretty much no turn card and if i hit anything to improve my hand i'm going broke thoughts (as compared to raising or shoving)? |
