Check my math for this site bet!
The Philadelphia Park Casino has Royal Match 21. An electronic blackjack table. The player and dealer each have their own 6 deck shoe that is shuffled after every hand.
They offer a side bet in multiples of $5 for the suits and the payout is determined after the next hand is dealt. 1000-1 is both dealer and player have KQ of the same suit (i.e. dealer= K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] AND player=K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]) 25-1 if the player has KQ of the same suit (i.e. K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]) 2.5-1 if both players hole cards are the same suit. I was trying to figure out the house edge on this bet. Please check the math for the following. (78/312)*(77/311) = .06 For Royal match K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (48/312)*(6/311) = .003 For royal match for player and dealer .003*.003 = .000009 Then for the final expected return (.06 * 2.5) + (.003 * 25) + (.000009 * 1000) + (.936 * -1) = -.702 By my calculations the house edge for this site bet is 70.2%. Could a math wiz please check my math. |
