Default Set value VS Stacks

When should you play a low/medium pp for set value and stacking villian? I think there are 3 main criteria.

1. Position

I recommend being in position. You don’t want to call another raise behind you after you call a bet preflop.

2. Stats

What stats should a player have to be able to stack him? Please discuss.

3. Stacks

What are the chances of flopping a set with a pp? It’s 8.3-1 (10.8%)
We hit our set 1 out of 8.3 times.

So villain’s stack must be at least 10.8 * pf bet to make this +EV.

If (10.8 * pf bet) < villian’s stack  -EV.
If (10.8 * pf bet) > villian’s stack  +EV.

Am I right about this? It might be intresting for new players? Feel free to comment/correct!
