Default Mid Stakes Profitibility and Competition Level

This post is designed to get opinions from winning Midstakes players on the level of competition now compared to online in the past and compared to live. The reasons I ask are selfish but I think other players may be interested. I play midstakes live in the LA area and make a good profit doing so. What I would like to know is, Is online as profitable as Live? Is there still an abundance of gamblers and just plain poor players still joining the games? I get the impression that there are so many 2+2ers and decent players online that thats the majority of the opponents at the table. Have winning players noticed decreases in thier winrate? For those who play LIVE and Online, how would you desrcibe the profitibility between both. I would say all agree that the overall level of play online is superior, but does the average joe and avereage LIVE fish still sit down online at 2/4, 3/6, 5/10NL?
I am considering playing online in addition to Live.
