Default Re: not thinking enough about small stacks?

This discussion opens my eyes a little bit, but I think I'm already going in the right direction.

I don't necessarily want to play for (mini-micro-)stacks here, so I felt like my normal c-bet-raise-thing might be over the line, since it's basically committing him to the pot (without the benefit of super-dramatic all-in fold equity). I think I might want to practice pot control here, whether I'm ahead or behind. My point was really that I was getting him all-in without even realizing it, and I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to do that.

But everyone else is pretty much dead-on with what I was thinking: I love playing shortstack donks because I'm always pleasantly surprised to find that they're pushing crap. I even love it when they hit their monsters, because I'm paying them 1:1 to hit crazy 10:1 shots. So I get all that. Thanks.

He flipped over K9o for two pair, and I'm no good. But the next 20 short-stack donks will turn over A4o, K3o, QTo, 98s, and a medley of worthless pocket pairs, so I'm pretty sure I'm good with my call.
