Default Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (8/21 - Main Event Days 1a+1b)

Indicator of how plugged in ESPN is to what their viewers want to see:
- Liz Lieu and Evelyn Ng were on TV tables, but ESPN hardly got them into a shot.
- They did, however, find plenty of time for David Williams's mom Shirley and Jamie Gold's mother Jane.
I guess someone at ESPN read that their demographic is into MILFs. And those that don't like MILFs are into Ray Romano and Brad Garrett.

Unofficial hands-shown count, episode one:
- Hands shown: 8 (only counts hands were the preflop action was shown). That's down from 9 in episode one of last year's Main Event.
- Partial hands: 11 (generously including anything else that focused on poker action, even if it was just somebody busting).
- Non-poker segments: 16, comprised of 5 major and 11 minor segments (counting segments not about poker action).
