Brian Cashman was on Mike and the Mad Dog today and he said a couple of things that I found pretty interesting.

First of all, he said that if A-Rod opts out of his contract at the end of the year, there is no chance that he resigns with the Yankees. Apparently, this is because of how much money they receive from Texas towards his contract every year. Cashman said that without that money, the Yankess couldn't afford to be in the running for A-Rod. Thought that was amusing.

Also, he mentioned that Joba Chamberlain "comes with instructions" on how he is to be used and that under no circumstances will those instructions be ignored. He was prodded on what the exact instructions are, but wouldn't say. Apparently, they don't want this kid to get 'Proctored', lol. Even though it seems pretty obvious that one of the rules is that Chamberlain won't work back-to-back days, Cashman wouldn't even concede that.
