FTP Lag

When using PO with FT & 6-tabling, i noticed that the lag was quite bad. As PO isn't working with FT (2 weeks+) i've had to buy PT & PAHUD.

The lag is now horrendous and it's actually quite difficult to play.

I'v tried putting the priority to low with PT & PAHUD, and high with FT but this improves nothing as does ending unused processes.

PC Spec:
AMD 64, 3000+
1.79 GHz
512 MB of RAM

I know this is not great by today's standards, and as it's a laptop i'm looking to buy a new pc/laptop.

Questions:
Is there anything else i can do to improve the performance with this laptop & FT ? If not, what specs should i be looking at in a new pc/laptop, in order to see a big improvement with FT's performance when 6-tabling and running the said software & ahk scripts ?

Are any of you "lag free" at FT with high-end pc's ?
