How do electronic poker tables work?

how do you buy into the table? cash or player card from cage?

how do you protect your hand so that others cant see?

in NL, is there some kinda slider bar?

how do you know how much rake was taken?

although i assume there may be slightly more hands per hour, and until i actually play at several of them, i hope these things dont take off.
