The majority of PGA Tour players use the Overlap,
Tiger and Nicklaus Interlock If you do interlock, just be careful not to interlock too deeply (with the webs of the fingers getting close to each other) as it will tend to put your right hand grip too far into the palm, vs in the fingers. If you slice, a 10 finger grip can help you release the club more aggressively, (assuming everything else about the grip is correct) not good for somebody who fights the snap hook. The hook is most likely not caused by the grip alone, although experimenting with different styles can't hurt. FWIW, I used an interlock until I got very serious, and switched to an overlap to get the right hand more in the fingers. |
