Default Sites requiring photo ID, dob copies to let you cashout :|

So im trying to cashout from a prima site and they email me telling me I need to provide them with official photo ID, and date of birth blah copies for them to withdraw my money. FTP is doing the same thing when trying to get a cheque here. What is with this? Seems like these sites are getting too much information on us, I mean you can do anything with government issued ID's. I know party makes you do this if your withdrawing more than $10k in a month, but thats ok. But withdrawing a couple hundred from prima/FTP and you need to provide govt ID? Why? How does this protect from fraud. They make it this difficult to cashout yet so much easier to deposit.
